Compliance with the ITACA PROTOCOL

Easy to reach performance "levels" with POROTON eco MVI.

The ITACA PROTOCOL (according to UNI PdR 13/01/2019, national reference practice-national standard which aims to provide guidelines on the management system for gender equality) is a building sustainability assessment system to which the scores for the achievement of the established “level” are linked.

For this reason, many Regions, having the building redevelopment as their final objective, in addition to relaunching the economy, offer incentives through specific Regional Laws that reward the application of concepts of “Sustainable Building”.

The Puglia Region, for example, in addition to the law on the housing plan (LR n. 14/2009 and subsequent amendments), had already issued the Regional Law no. 13/2008 “Rules for sustainable living” and the Regional Law 12 August 2022, n. 20, with volumetric premiums and reduction of charges of various nature.

POROTON eco MVI

The use of POROTON eco MVI products makes it possible to achieve the best performing levels by facilitating compliance with a large number of “criteria” and giving access to sensible benefits.

Poroton eco MVI blocks represent the innovative solution most closely linked to the construction tradition. They are laid in vertical holes with a horizontal joint of normal mortar with a maximum thickness of 7 mm. The low percentage of drilling (max. 55%) and the reduced distance between the partitions allows the mortar to penetrate the holes for only a few millimetres, creating strong connections between the blocks (upper and lower), which make the masonry monolithic. The horizontal mortar joint can have one or two interruptions with a width varying from 2 cm to 4 cm. The large size of the block allows advancement with respect to the edge of the pillar and the correction of the thermal bridge created by it.
