DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE

With the “Declaration of Performance” (DoP), the Company assumes all responsibility for the declared technical characteristics, (pursuant to Regulation No. 305 / EU), which are functional to their use.
In particular, they are indicated:
– the volumetric mass
– the mechanical resistances
– the Class of Reaction to Fire
– the “equivalent thermal conductivity” of the block in dry conditions (UNI EN 1745).
This last data represents the starting point for the evaluation of the “equivalent thermal conductivity of the masonry” (considered formed by the blocks and the mortar of the horizontal and vertical joints), up to the determination of the “transmittance”.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSERTION

SCIANATICO LATERIZI brick products are certified for compliance with the “Minimum Environmental Criteria” for the building industry.
Following provisions of the European Commission, the Ministerial Decree of 11/10/2017 defined the “Minimum Environmental Criteria for Construction” (CAM).
These are based on some specific requests, to guarantee building sustainability, among which two, in particular, concern building materials and constitute, for the materials themselves, a great novelty as well as a precise production commitment:
a. reduction of waste production
b. reduction of polluting emissions.

CERTIFICATE OF VALIDATION OF THE SELF-DECLARATED ENVIRONMENTAL ASSAULT

The Decree prescribes that, except for some special cases, the set of all materials used for the building must have a total content of recovered or recycled material equal to at least 15%, (by weight), evaluated on the total of all used materials. For some more commonly used materials, the D.M. 11/10/2017 reports, in this regard, the minimum mandatory content which, for wall bricks is 10%.
The percentage of recycled material must, in turn, be demonstrated through a product certification issued by a Conformity Assessment Body which certifies the recycled content through the explanation of the mass balance which consists in verifying a self-declared environmental declaration, compliant with the UNI EN ISO 14021 standard.
SCIANATICO LATERIZI has already adapted its production and has submitted it to a third-party Evaluation Body which has issued the relative product certification, (according to the UNI EN ISO 14021 standard), which certifies a recycled material content of 12%.
By virtue of this certification, all the technical documentation and catalogues bear the specific CAM symbol.

DECLARATION OF ORIGIN OF RAW MATERIALS

CRITERION B.4.8. – LOCAL MATERIALS of the ITACA PROTOCOL aims to encourage the supply of local materials in order to reduce energy consumption for transport and promote the economy of the area.
An excellent answer to this criterion is the one that guarantees both that the production of the final product/component takes place “on site” and that the raw materials themselves are local.
The SCIANATICO LATERIZI factories for the production of wall and floor products have clay extraction quarries adjacent to the factories themselves.
The “Declaration of Origin of Raw Materials” accompanies the supply of material at the request of the owner of the destination site.

“CE” CERTIFICATE OF FACTORY PRODUCTION CONTROL – BRICKS

The certificate indicates that the floor blocks have undergone initial type testing and factory production control and that the authorized laboratory has performed the initial factory inspection, factory production control and carries out continuous surveillance, evaluation and approval of the inspection.
The certificate remains valid as long as the conditions established by the harmonized standards with reference to both production and control have not changed.

“CE” CERTIFICATE OF FACTORY PRODUCTION CONTROL - JOISTS

The certificate indicates that the joists in c.a.p. slabs have undergone the initial type tests and factory production control and that the authorized laboratory has performed the initial factory inspection, factory production control and carries out the continuous surveillance, evaluation and approval of the control.
The certificate remains valid if the conditions established by the harmonized standards with reference to both production and control have not changed.
