The topic of sustainability in the building sector is becoming increasingly important in the context of political directions at european level, which strongly want the topic of reducing energy consumption, the circular economy and the reduction of environmental impacts resulting from the construction of new building, placing attention to climate change, the sourcing of resources, energy supply, reduction and pollution which will actually be fundamental elements for every industrial sector. The recent Directive (EU) 2024/1275 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the energy performance of buildings, better known as the Green Houses Directive or EPBD 4, also fits into this context. One of the most important aspects to consider is the choice of materials that can be considered really sustainable.
